The Caledon Admirals are pleased to announce the hiring of Joe Washkurak as the teamโs new head coach and assistant General Manager.
Joe has been to the face of the Mississauga Chargers for the past 13 years as their head coach. He brings a tireless effort, outstanding knowledge and unmatched commitment to helping players advance to the next level. He is also a longtime scout with the Oshawa Generals of the OHL.
His dedication to player advancement is part of the reason that Admirals GM Ken Jeysman sought out Washkurak when he became available. His philosophy aligns with that of the Admirals and AHG.
Chris Taylor, who has held the reins with the Admirals for the past two seasons, will remain with the team as the Associate Coach. This will allow Taylor to remain active in coaching while tending to an increased travel and workload schedule with his full-time job.
