Chris Taylor - Head Coach
Chris comes to the Admirals after spending 2.5 seasons as the Head Coach of our Jr. B affiliate, the Caledon Bombers.
Prior to that, Chris spent time as an assistant coach with the Guelph Hurricanes of the GOJHL and the Halton Hurricanes AAA Minor Hockey association of the OMHA.
Matt Ferreira - Assistant Coach
Matt brings a wide range of hockey knowledge, experience and connections to the Admirals.
He played his junior hockey in Brampton before playing NCAA D1 at UMass Lowell. He was an assistant coach with the Admirals in the 2018/19 season and has been working as a scout for several NCAA D1 programs in the last few years.
Ray Martin - Assistant Coach
Ray started coaching right after his playing career. He coached minor hockey for 15 years at all levels, winning an OMHA championship in 2020.
Ray joined the Caledon Bombers (Jr. B) as assistant coach in 2021 and moved up to the Caledon Admirals in October 2022.
Ryan Smith - Assistant Coach
Ryan has a wide breadth of knowledge and coaching experience, most recently with the Caledon Golden Hawks in the 2022-2023 season. He was also a skills development coach with PEP Hockey, a well-respected hockey skills training organization.
Prior to coaching, Ryan played junior hockey for the Georgetown Raiders before playing NCAA D3 at Castleton University.
Evan Childs - Strength and Conditioning Coach / Athletic Therapist
Evan Childs brings another aspect of expertise to the club with his strength and conditioning background. With 4 years of training athletes including triathletes, marathon runners, powerlifters, skiers, long drive competitors, professional dancers, youth baseball players and professional / collegiate level hockey players, he hopes to take player development and injury management to another level.
When not on the ice, Evan works amongst 90-plus physicians and specialists to offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic assessments and tailored programs to help individuals, families and corporations proactively manage their health and well-being.
After spending a season with our Jr. B affiliate, the Caledon Bombers, we’re looking forward to having this level of experience with the Admirals this season.
